Meet the Owner

Jamie is a lifelong animal welfare advocate with over 15 years of hands-on experience in rescue, fostering, and professional dog training. Her journey began in the world of animal rescue, where she fostered hundreds of dogs and helped them find loving homes—an experience that shaped her compassionate, whole-dog approach to care.

Jamie later founded a successful training academy rooted in positive reinforcement methods, where she’s worked with families to build strong, respectful relationships with their dogs. Her passion for education, enrichment, and individualized support led her to take over and reimagine K9 Playland as Canine Corner—a space designed to meet not just the physical needs of dogs, but their social, emotional, and behavioral needs as well.

Jamie believes that great care starts with a strong team, a supportive community, and a deep understanding of dogs as individuals. At Canine Corner, she’s proud to lead a team that shares her commitment to safety, kindness, and high standards of care.
